Instructions for Mixing
Without Activator
For long-term storage of regular tap and well water, use 1 - 2 inactivated drops of water purification solution per gallon. Water is purified after 8 hours. Do not activate for long-term storage or larger quantities.
For cloudy or murky water, use 3-4 inactivated drops of water purification solution per gallon. Let stand for 8 hours before drinking.
With Activator
For pure water on demand in foreign countries, jungles and swamps, for camping or in emergency or survival situations, use activated drops of water purification solution.
For one gallon, put 3 drops of water purification solution in a glass; add 15 drops of activator solution (vinegar, citric acid solution, lemon or lime juice). Do not use juice that has vitamin C added. Swirl to mix and wait three minutes for full activation. Add to water. Wait ten minutes and drink.
For every drop of water purification solution, add 5X the activator. This means one drop of water purification solution + 5 drops of activator, two drops of water purification solution +10 drops of activator, etc.

Instructions for Mixing Citric Acid Activator Solution
To fill blue activator bottle, add two level teaspoons of citric acid crystals to 3 ounces (18 teaspoons) of water. Always use one part citric acid crystals to nine parts of water, or a 1:9 ratio of crystals to water. This makes a 10% solution.
You can also use vinegar or lemon or lime juice to activate the water purification solution. Do not use juice that has vitamin C added. Be sure the drops from your dispenser are of equal size to the water purification solution drops.
Size of Drops

Figure 1 When using drops from this bottle cap, use five times the number of activator drops to every drop of water purification solution. For example, to 2 drops of water purification solution add 10 drops of activator.

Figure 2 The dropper end size of the Standard Eye Dropper (figure 2) is round and .125" in diameter. Eyedropper sizes vary. Make sure the drops are of equal size to insure proper activation.
